Marlborough Girls’ College is a single sex State Secondary School, located in the leafy suburb of Springlands, Blenheim.

Blenheim is situated at the top of the South Island, near the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, we boast the title of having the most sunshine hours in New Zealand. Easy access from Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington by air.

Marlborough Girls’ College has a proud tradition of high achievement in academic, sporting and cultural arenas. Our experienced teachers set high standards for their students, in a positive, supportive and caring environment. We offer a wide range of subjects including ESOL classes with small number of students in each class. Marlborough Girls’ College individually supports their students to grow in personal confidence and allowing the students to enjoy their time in New Zealand.

We have a specialist Outdoor Education programme using both the Marlborough Sounds (sea kayaking, mountain biking, tramping) and Lake Rotoiti National Park (tramping, river crossing, climbing, snow caving, skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking). We have many different extra-curricular activities on offer – sport (eg volleyball, basketball, equestrian, rowing, football) cultural (drama, musical productions, choirs, jazz band), and strong service and leadership programmes.

Marlborough Girls College has a long history of hosting international students. We are very proud of our graduates’ who are now or attending universities in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom, Australia, United States and many other countries. We place strong emphasis on the individual students’ needs.
